MidwestSiteRecon is a utility locating and mapping company based in Plymouth, Indiana. We work with municipalities across the Midwest to find, locate, and map underground utilities — using technology that's a generation ahead of what most locating firms bring to the job.
WHO WE ARE
Pierce and Mark Haskins started MidwestSiteRecon because they saw a problem nobody was solving well: small municipalities getting stuck with hourly bills and no results, outdated maps that hadn't been touched in decades, and utility strikes that cost real money and real time.
So we built a different kind of company. One that charges for outcomes, not hours. One that puts advanced ground-penetrating radar — the kind that covers ground three times faster than conventional units — on jobs where most competitors show up with a paint can and a wand.
We're based in Plymouth, Indiana, and we serve municipalities across Indiana and the surrounding Midwest. Small towns are our specialty. They're the ones with the worst utility records, the tightest budgets, and the least patience for a vendor who bills by the hour and walks away empty-handed.

THE TECHNOLOGY
We run the IDS Stream DP — a multi-channel ground penetrating radar array that scans large areas faster and deeper than standard single-channel units. Paired with RTK GPS for centimeter-level accuracy and the Leica DT100 electromagnetic locator, we can detect utilities that other equipment misses entirely.
THE DELIVERABLES
Paint marks on the ground are the starting point, not the finish line. Every mapping project includes a full digital utility map on our cloud platform — interactive, downloadable, GIS-compatible. Your team gets a login and can access your data any time. That's an asset. Not just a report.
THE PRICING
Single finds are flat per target. Mapping projects are flat per acre. You know the number before we start, and it doesn't change when conditions get complicated. That's something you can put in a budget without a footnote.
